Fats act as lubricants and also give luster to the skin. They should not be avoided but should be taken in little quantity compared to proteins and carbohydrates.

Unsaturated fats should be preferred over saturated fats. Coming to micronutrients, they are very essential and lack of them cause weakness or some disorder. This can be corrected by treating with the particular micronutrient. Excessive of these micronutrients can be dangerous and not advised to exceed the limits.
It will do more damage than benefits. So balanced diet and nutrition is the key to success.
